DESCRIPTION:A Colourful Storm presents Abby Sundborn’s Holding Pattern album launch with support from special guests Lara.\n\nAbby Sundborn is a quiet observer. An active composer\, performer\, improviser and collaborator within Melbourne’s fertile DIY underground\, she equally appreciates time spent on the other side of the stage\, attentively listening\, imagining and finding beauty in her surroundings.\n\nHolding Pattern was released on A Colourful Storm in 2026 and is the clearest distillation of her musical vision - one that is rooted in intimacy and vulnerability\, and pays homage to countless memories both shared and in solitude. A time-dilating piece for cello and voice\, it is fragile music with a deceptive intensity that unravels far beyond the confines of the dimly lit space in which it was performed. Sundborn builds upon the foundations of Holding Pattern and performs new improvisations.\n\nLara is the new duo of Archie Shannon and Sarah Hellyer\, members of Melbourne-based indie bands Floodlights and Equal Parts.
