DESCRIPTION:NYMPHO's own ATARANGI takes the lead this October for his first solo all night long set in Naarm / Melbourne.\n\nKnown for his electrifying spontaneity and unmatched versatility\, ATARANGI is a DJ\, producer\, and community leader who joins a legion of artists across the dance music landscape pushing the sounds of the underground to the forefront of mainstream consciousness. Born in Aotearoa / New Zealand\, now based in Naarm / Melbourne\, Australia\, ATARANGI has cultivated a sound that resonates globally\; one that has been touched by many\, mastered by few.\n\nATARANGI has lit up stages across Oceania\, performing alongside LSDXOXO\, Overmono\, Nia Archives\, KI/KI\, HorsegiirL\, and more. From VIVID at the Sydney Opera House to Beyond the Valley\, his high-octane sets and boundary-pushing energy continues to leave a mark on the global dance circuit.\n\nAfter gracing the cover of Mixmag ANZ in 2024\, as well as mix releases alongside Dr Dubplate for EC2A\, Jyoty\, and Chippy Nonstop on Rinse FM\, Triple J’s coveted ‘Mix Up’ series\, and Aotearoa’s pioneering Friendly Potential Radio on 95BFM\, ATARANGI has carved out a lane of his own\, cementing his place as a driving force in contemporary club culture.\n\nMany things can be true\, but one thing is for certain: ATARANGI’s infectious\, uninhibited sound will soundtrack dancefloors for years to come.\n\nNYMPHO is a dance-focused queer club night with visual and performance art styles woven into high energy DJ sets. We strive to create a safe\, inclusive and transcendent club experience which celebrates gender euphoria\, body positivity and sexual liberation. Our kaupapa of lifting up marginalised communities extends from our audience and lineups to our musical philosophies - with genre-diverse sets centred around QBIPOC rooted genres such as techno\, house and emergent queer sounds.\n\nAs always\, TWOC + First Nations Mob come free.
