SUMMARY:Proto Exotica presents Eric Duncan (US)
LOCATION:Angel Music Bar\, 12 Bourke Street Melbourne\, Victoria\, Australia\, Melbourne
DESCRIPTION:The last Proto Exotica party of the year and it’s kind of a biggie…disco\, house\, and electronic lifer Eric Duncan is casually stopping by Angel Music Bar\, which will be his first time in Australia for exactly 11 years.\n\nDJ\, producer\, remixer\, and peak-time party provider\, Duncan has firmly taken the wheel of New York's underground dance scene since the mid-90s. He's also one half of the legendary duo Rub-N-Tug\, a member of DFA's Still Going\, and operates under the alias Dr Dunks for his solo productions. \n\nOver three decades\, Duncan's built a repertoire of genre-hopping DJ sets\, cult-favourite edits (C.O.M.B.I.\, Keep it Cheap)\, and remixes for artists including Grace Jones\, LCD Soundsystem\, Daniele Baldelli\, Roxy Music\, Todd Terje\, Beastie Boys\, Coldplay – and the list goes on! \n\nCatch him dialled in upstairs at Angel for 5 hours straight\, with support from some local legends across both floors. \n\n\nUpstairs:\nFreddy Gardens 10pm -12am\nEric Duncan - 12am - 5am\n\nDownstairs:\nSammy Sanchez 9-11pm\nChilled Red 11pm-2am\nJasper Miles 2am-5am\n\nSuper limited tix and a small capacity for this one\, don’t sleep!\n\nWe live\, work and play on land that was forcibly taken from Aboriginal people. There has been no Treaty with the First Nations of this place and the effects of colonisation continue to this day. We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people\, on whose land this event will take place. We pay our respects to the Elders past\, present and emerging and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. Free entry to First Nations mob\, dm us if this is you!\n\nAs a gentle reminder\, Angel Upstairs is a small and intimate space. We want everyone who attends to have a safe and responsible dance. Anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated\, and if this is seen\, please contact a member of staff or dm us\, and they will be removed from the event and not welcome to any future events. (ZERO dickheads policy\, just be lovely!)\n\nTickets: https://ra.co/events/2553013
