His relationship with music began in his family’s church and has evolved into a singular career spanning clubs\, stages\, classrooms\, and cultural institutions worldwide.\n\nFounder of Jump-N-Funk\, North America’s original Fela Kuti tribute\, Medina helped establish a blueprint for the global embrace of Afrobeat. His legendary Lil Ricky’s Rib Shack and HOME residencies have become touchstones of New York club culture.
